野菜の寄せ植え/Veggie arrangement

今日は午後から雪が降りそう。

It may snow this afternoon.

先週末に野菜類をつかった寄せ植えを作りました。

I made a pot arrangement with vegetables last weekend. 

ほとんど食用の植物で植えています。

食べられないものは、お花と、葉牡丹、観賞用ケールです。

Most of them are edible except flowers, an ornamental cabbage and a kale. 

細部には、パセリやセロリ

真ん中の一番大きなものは、実は芽キャベツです。

今日は寒いのでお出かけもせず、家でゆっくり。

"The Kinfolk Table"は一般の人々の小さな集まりの

時に作る料理のレシピが書かれています。

一人一人のバックグラウンドが書かれていて面白い。

Too cold to go out today, I stay home until I pick up my daughter 

in school. I am reading "The Kinfolk Table" the Japanese version

which features recipes for small gatherings. Each recipe  has

a story, which is very interesting. 

とっても分厚い本なので、時間がある時にゆっくりと

眺めています。

The book is so thick and so cannot read it at once. 

I take time to read it when I want to relax in the lazy afternoon.
