生き残り/The survivors

冬の寒さや雪にも負けず、春を迎えたベランダの植物たち。

Introducing plants which survived from severe environment in winter. 

ハーブや野菜をまとめた寄せ植えの中で、セロリだけが新しい芽を出しています。

Among the vegetable/herb pot, only this celery continues to grow. 

全て枯れてしまったかと思っていたイタリアンパセリもまた芽を出しました。

Italian parsley started to grow again. 

越冬バナナもなんとか冬を越しました。

This banana tree barely survived in winter.

フェンネルは、寒さのでも緑の葉を絶やす事はありませんでした。

Fennels are so strong, their leaves never fell even during cold snow.

数年前、育ててたミントの種がバルコニーの床に落ちて、

ウッドデッキから顔を出して群生しています。

抜いても、抜いても、生えてくる、強靭な生命力です。

Mints are the strongest ones. I used to grow mints, and their pips fell down and started to grow.

There's no soil under this wood deck. 

I picked them many times, but they always come back in a while.
