三浦散歩/One day trip to Miura

三浦半島は海のものと畑のものがどちらも恵まれているので、
日帰りの旅行でよく訪れます。
Miura is wonderful place where you can enjoy
fresh vegetables and seafood.

春キャベツが旬

Cabbage field

佐島ではとれたての新鮮な魚が、ものによって、築地よりも安く買うことができます。

At Sajima fish market, sometimes, you can buy fresh seafood with lower price than in Tsukiji.

海辺の落ち着いたエリアにはゆっくり一息つけるカフェが点在しています。

There are many cozy cafes you can take a break with delicious cake. 

今回しいれた魚介類は、活タコ、あさり、オニカサゴ、

しらす、サヨリ、活車海老。メインはパエリアにしました。

This time we bought a live octopus, clams, a scorpionfish, dried whitebait, needlefish, and live prawns.

All inide in this Paella.

郊外の庭 / Suburban Garden

郊外にある実家の庭も春らしくなりました。

My parents' garden in suburban Tokyo.

芝生は飼い犬に荒らされて遠い昔になくなってしまいましたが、

今は苔が広がっています。

Our dog damaged the lawn long time ago, and now

mosses cover the ground.

大きくはない庭ですが季節の花が咲いています。

It's not a big garden, but varieties of flowers bloom

from season to season.

冬に寄せ植えした「横浜セレクション」というビオラ。

今年冬一番気に入った花です。

This viola, called "Yokohama Selection,"

is one of my favorite flowers in this winter.

子供がハーブティーを作ってくれました。

土に触れると大人でも癒されます。

My daughter made some herbal tea.

It's such a healing moment when we play with the earth.

Colorful Spring

バルコニーの彩度が気温と比例して上がっていきます。

Warm weather brightens the garden. 

葉牡丹の花。万華鏡のよう。

Flower of an ornamental kale. It's like a kaleidoscope.

ブルーベリーのつぼみ/Blueberry Flower Buds

おや？ブルーベリーが芽吹いてきたと思ったら、つぼみが！？

夏に収穫するブルーベリーなので、開花は６月くらいかと思っていたら、

４月に開花して、ゆっくり実をつけ、熟していくのですね。

去年から育てているので、全然サイクルを知りませんでした。

同じ種族の木を二本以上側に置くと、実をつけるというので、ラビットアイ種を

二本植えています。

Two "rabbit-eye"blueberry trees are in our balcony from last summer. 

I have misunderstood that blueberry flowers bloomed around June since

we picked blueberries in August. Didn't know that they bloom in April. 

クレマチスも仲間に入りました。

大きな鉢に植え替えて、後ろの柵をグリーンカーテンにする予定です。

Clematis joined our balcony garden. We'd like to create a "green curtain"

over the fence behind. 

春 / Spring

綺麗な椿の花を軒先で見つけました。

It's spring. Camellia flower, so beautiful. 

熱帯に育ちそうな植物も冬を越えて嬉しそう。

Plants which might grow in the tropical zone look happy when winter is over. 

初めて通る小径。モクレンが見事に咲き誇っていました。

It was the first time I've stop by this street because the magnolia flowers were so beautiful. 

ブラディオレンジジュース / Fresh Bloody Orange Juice

近所の八百屋にブラディーオレンジが突如置いてあったので、

3時のおやつ代わりにジュースを作りました。

At very ordinary produce market, they had bloody oranges, so I bought them without hesitation and made fresh juice.

イチゴとキウイも加えて。市販のものと比べて甘さはありませんが、美味しかったです。

It was not so sweet compared to the packaged juice, but it was delicious. 

そしてまた夕ご飯を作る時間です。

...and it's time to prepare dinner.

春の収穫 / Spring Harvest

知り合いの方のお家カフェにおじゃましました。

Visited our friend, she opened one-day home cafe. 

しっかりしたルッコラの群生。花の先まで柔らかくて、味が濃くて美味！

Arugula grows gregariously in the garden. Even the flowers are very soft, yet have strong flavor. Delicious! 

葉大根は炒めたり、お味噌汁に入れたり。

This small radishes can be cooked in a wok, or put in Miso soup.

最後は大量のローズマリーをお土産に頂きました。

She gave us bunch of Rosemary. 

桜 / Cherry Blossoms

今年も永代橋の寒桜が一足先に見頃を迎えています。

Ahead of Someiyoshino cherry blossoms, Kanzakura, the winter cherry blossoms are in bloom.

もう一本、別の種類の桜も満開でした。

Another kind of cherry blossom was in full bloom.

都会の中のオアシス / Urban Oasis

久しぶりに、中華そば「おはる」で昼食を取りました。

An authentic Ramen restaurant located near the branch of Sumida river.

塩味の五目ラーメンが人気。

Assorted Ramen is one of the most popular menu.

お気に入りの作品です。My favorite one.

ミニ薔薇 Miniature rose

真冬でも綺麗に咲いていたミニ薔薇。時は白、時にはピンクの花を咲かせます。

Miniature roses, they change colors of their flowers from time to time. Now they're pink.

Pancakes

２月以前には出回らない、小粒のいちごはへたの先まで赤くて美味しい。
From February to the end of strawberry season, 
we can buy very small strawberries, which taste so sweet.

パンケーキを作って食べる。はやりのパンケーキやの味はどんなだろう。

Made some pancakes, I wonder how it tastes like in the famous restaurants.

たっぷりのフルーツと、カルピスバターでいただきます。
